Advice please on replacing Drum Bearing.

Do you just replace bearing or rear half of drum cover which I think carries drum bearing

Depends if you can get bearing out. If it's stuck in rear half needed

Oh yes , lid off consol panel, front panel off. Lift drum out split drum in half. Good luck.

Remove the band that's on the outside lip of the front panel then remove rear clamp band.

I had not realised that it was a spring tensioned wire securing the seal to front panel.
Actually bearing fault is on my daughters machine but we have similar model.
I will progress problem tomorrow.
Many Thanks
Keith

Changing Bearing developed into bit of a saga.
Drum out easy. Split Drum OK. Very difficult to remove bearings.
1st Set new bearings, outer diameter of outer bearing too small.
2nd Set new bearings, outer and inner diam of outer bearing too large.
Supplier recommended new half outer drum containing bearings. Outer bearing inner diam was too large. Took new outer drum and old inner steel drum to supplier workshops. From their salvaged stock they supplied a inner drum that mated to new outer. Reassembled machine. Great!!!
