Can anyone give advise re the following problem. My year old dishwasher will not drain and there is clear water in the bottom of the machine. The programme buttons do go on, but will not switch along the control panel to another setting. Have pulled the filter container out, but cannot see how you get to the impeller (there doesn't appear to be a screw - it seems one whole plastic unit)

Check the drain first. If it's on a spigot it could be blocked there.
Next, you need to reset the appliance pcb, that should in the instruction manual (cancelling a program).
If when it should be draining you hear instead a buzzing noise then something is jamming the pump.

Many thanks for this advice. Managed to get the machine operating after we tried to tip the water out and for some reason it restarted! Still not sure what was wrong with it, but can only presume it was some "sensor" showing that it still had to drain. Will keep your information ti refer to in case of future problems! Many thanks for your help!
