How do I pull my enormous tree stump out of its hole?

I have dug around a very large sycamore stump in my back garden and cut away all the roots. It is now free but the stump must weigh about the same as a medium sized car! (No bull*h%t its about this big). I can't get access to my back garden with a vehicle/digger so I am wondering if there is any sort of pulley kit I can hire to winch the thing out of its hole?

Any ideas much appreciated?

Can't cut it up easily, too much embedded earth and stones all over which would blunt a chainsaw in seconds.

Engine hoist might lift it, I suppose I could then get a scaffold board underneath to cover the hole the drag away (maybe).

I am now wondering if I can hire a hand operated winch of some kind?

you could use a turfer jack, but to be honest when weve had ones like this, we go into them from above where it is safe to do so with a chainsaw, and then use a splitting maul on them. Youll be surprised at how quick they break down into managable chunks

the link I provided you is for HSS hire, they do the legs and the chain hoist for getting the thing out..

easiest option is as said, a spliting maul axe.. just hack the heck out of it..

or save up and wait until bonfire night and set fire to it with some wood round it and a load of lighter fluid... :)
