Hi, this is one of my kitchen units. I am hoping eventually to make an open cabinet with a couple of shelves to match. How is this style achieved on the side of the unit? They seem to be oak pieces. But they have an extra decorative line running the length of the piece.

Is that line routed?

Could be cladding, you could dye thin cladding to match.Or take down that end unit replace the end as it will not be visable and use re-use the panel on you new unit.

I Usually run down it with either a router and V bit ( for one or two panels)or use a table saw with modified guarding if I have a lot to do

And norcon I think I would be able to replicate that. Great link, thanks a lot.

to me that looks like a bead profile,so a beading bit will be needed.
if so think you might also have invest in a router table.
