got art students living in the flat, the sink always blocked every few months, once I cleared out some paint the the wire cleaner, I doubt more inside, is there any way to clear them all? chemical or tools?

Don't use methylene chloride based paint stripper, it dissolves many of the plastics used for waste plumbing.

Drain snake your best bet I think.
Make the students pay!

Or clear the pipework using a student

They must have some sort of use?

Avoid future blockages by getting them to pour excess paint in an old tub and putting a lid on it before chucking it in the bin instead of down the sink.

Also works well for cooking fat - one of the most common causes of sewer blockage (along with sanitary products and rimblocks).
