How to connect two washing machine outlet hoses?

How do i connect two w/m outlet hoses with a plastic hose connector?
I've researched this , but theres no complete answer to take me through connecting the hose ends, which appear to be too big for the connector.

Why not just buy a hose that is twice the standard length then there is no chance of a leak . Plumbcentre sell them

Try Screwfix 36112 if you prefer to do it this way...although a full length hose is better.
