I still have 5 inch drives in case someone needs to recover legacy data from their 5 inch discs. It is not uncommon to find old machinery that has all it's back up programs, documentation and data stored on dusty 5 inch discs. Repair, replication or simple upgrades would be impossible without being able to read those discs. There probably are 5 inch discs still in regular use, why change a reliable old machine that does the job for a more modern one
It seems like only yesterday that my last 8 inch drive was re-cycled. ( well at my age year 2002 is close to yesterday )
