How to remove top of Jacob Delafon Cistern

Hi All
I have recently inherited a coupled cistern loo with a dual push button cistern, but I can't seem to be able to unscrew the chrome ring to get the top off.

Any suggestions?

What I meant was that turning it doesn't seem to unscrew it at all!

Oh, that's an even easier one then.

Press down one of the buttons, then carefully prise up the other one and pull it out. Then lift the other one out.

You'll see a screw underneath - undo this with a tool known as a screwdriver.
