I have a very tall chimney stack that comes out a bungalow roof and want to get to it to fit a stove liner.

I have a 6ft stone wall next to the house which would allow me to fit my quickstage 4 foot wide scaffold but the rafters overhang. The wall stops me building the scaffold further out and using hop ups.

Is there any way I can build the 8 x 4 scaffold up to the external rafter/gutter and then essentialy bend round it?

Or will I just have to build a tower using the 2' 8" transoms instead?

I could drop two standards the other side of the wall but this is a pavement and I can't be arsed with the issues this may raise in this day and age.

Thanks.

Begs the question, would it not be wiser to get some tube chuckers in?

It is possible to 'cobble' a tower so that it works to a degree but you have to be lucky with the sections etc. We have in the past been able to tower up to the eaves then drop two sections onto the roof and carry on up around the chimney but only because we were lucky the section fell right.
