I am planning a solar panel, which will be at the edge of the roof so that the pipework can dive over the edge and in through the gable end. However the out (flow) connection of the panel will be right next to my cylinder coil in the attic below and it would be a more direct and efficient route by about 20 ft if I could go out of the panel, through the tiles and straight into the coil.

Is it worth trying to do this? Does a flashing system exist?

Navitrons recomendsation is that you simply slide the tube
between the tiles, and direct into the loft space,

Could do - if the pipe heads upwards, what harm can it do? Being the perfectionist that I am I would try to cut a channel in the underneath of a tile so that the tiles still lay flat.

You could make your own flashing...

Here they have just soldered a copper pipe to act as sleeving unto copper sheet. The insulation can also pass unbroken through the sleeve.
Brazing would be better I think.
