Any one on this site know owt about Electronics in phones as my touch screen isnt working
The battery has swelled up but ive checked it with multimeter and its giving out 3.6vdc , which is full battery power + - .1vdc.
Screen came on breefly and was just white. Then next night i had a look it came on and showed the Orange start up but never loaded up, once i removed batt. i hasnt come on again

Reason i stopped using it was not because the batt. swelled up, because i only noticed this a couple of months afer getting it back out to try to get it to work, it just packed up one day., but it holds all my work details ,so i need it.
Any tech help that'll get it going, i will explode in my pants, cos i'll be so chuffed :D ;)

Surely it should boot off usb power only? ie with the battery removed.

I too woud head off to the sub forum for your specific handset at xda-developers- to be honest they and the guys at win-mo were (and are) the authorities on Windows CE/Windows mobile/windows phone 7.

In the event that the screen is damaged from battery leak- MyMobiler will allow you to use your mouse and pc to navigate thru/use the phone

However it sounds more like a battery problem preventing booting in the first place

Sorry about the crap ive posted , still duno how 2 do this stuff right,anyway;
How would the screen be damaged by a battery leak as there are no signs of leak ?
And the battery has only swelled up, as i say its still holding its power but not charging in the phone and not bringing the phone on!

Ive tried bi-passing the battery but still no joy. Could it be simply a battery knacked? Or did i connect the link wrongly?

Theres 4 connections 4 the batt.
1st - positive
2 -bugger me if i know!!
3rd '' '' '' ''
4th - Negative
I linked bell wire from + to - , & like i said got charge light on (red) but no start up .
No signs of damage to circuit as far as i can see.
And what does the small button batt. do inside the phone? That had the smallest , slightest bit of residue on it!

Come on boys ! Thought tou were kick asses when it came to electronics
