Humming pipes

Hi,
When I flush my toilet, I get a humming noise from a pipe some where in the house, it doesn't last long enough for me to find where it's coming from. It's only started recently and I haven't had any plumbing work carried out. Any idea what could be causing it?

Try wiggling the valve float arm and see it it changes pitch. Sometimes as the valve ages or the washers deteriorate it has a funny effect.

Try replacing the washer/diaphragm inside the float valve.
