I need some advice please?
I got a builder to knock a hole out of a wall and put a kitchen window in. I was specific of what I wanted when he came out to do a quote.
I wanted the window to look like the others which sit in a cavity closer.
He fitted a smaller window than I requested, used a mild steel lintel on the bricks leaving the breeze blocks unsupported. Screwed the window into the brick and plugged the cavity up with plasterboard, the walls inside the sill were not plastered straight, used a plastic window sill which was not cut right instead of a wooden sill as requested.
Can any decent builder in Tyne and wear please contact me to arrange rectification of the works. I.e. a steel cavity lintel, cavity closers and a bigger window putting in? few bricks will need knocking out
