I need some help

Hello,
In a blaze of stupidity I have painted half of my celing in one coat gloss paint for wood! How on earth can I remove this? Or can I paint a matt coat straight over it? I'm an idiot.

Still, look on the bright side - you've brightened my day a little! I'm a little peeved today and your post brought a smile to my face.

I'm sure one of the knowlegable decorators will be along a bit later to advise.

Knowledgable decorator here!!!

Rub it down give it a coat of acrylic primer/undercoat and then carry on with the emulsion.
