Hi All,

I am renovating my house and have been slowly teaching myself lots of different skills with a good amount of success. I have used a lot of great advice on this forum to help up-skill me and from this I have a query regarding the order in which I should undertake some of the decorating . This is the order that I believe I need to undertake the work based on info on this site and on the web. If you have any advice I would really welcome it:

1. Remove coving & Skirting
2. Plaster ceiling
3. Plaster walls
4. Strip, fill and sand door architrave and window cill
5. Ensure plaster is dry
6. Wipe down plaster with wet cloth
7. Mist coat 50:50 emulsion walls
8. Easifill any holes in plaster
9. Light sand walls and ceiling (where filler has been used)
10. Clean room and walls thoroughly
11. Paint Ceiling and Walls x2 coats
12. Cut and Paint coving and skirting
13. Fit Coving and skirting
14. Paint door architrave and window cill
15. Fit new door
16. Fit Radiator and electrical fittings
17. Clean room thoroughly, including checking windows for spots of paint
18. Final clean of floor
19. Fit carpet

So far I am at the point where I have plastered all the walls and ceiling. So there is lots still to do. Would you do anything differently?

Thanks in advance,

Jon
