The slope on my 20 years old trouble free felt roof is inadequate (in my humble opinion). I have not had any water problem though.

I get a puddle in a corner. The puddle forms whilst it rains and gradually increases until it starts the run off to the gutter. Once it stops raining, the puddle remains providing a lovely bathing area for birds.

I am considering renewal of the felt and was wondering what can be done to build up the corner so that there is adequate slope to stop the puddle in the first place.

Can some levelling compund be laid first prior to laying the felt, or lay the felt first, then build up the corner from the top, or perhaps have rubber roof ( I am assuming the corner can be built with extra thick rubber to form a slope). Any other suggestions please?
