The ignition unit seems to be partially failed.

Is it part number 283954900 ?

Where abouts is it located on the appliance and how long should it take me to replace it?

I had hoped that this section of the forum would have been teeming with people who repair appliances and would have known all the answers!

I don't think there are many gas safe engineers who follow this section Tony.

Probably not.

But replacing the ignition unit does not have to be done by someone who is GS registered.

Unfortunately, few GS people do many repairs like this one.

Not helped by manufacturers who do not give technical advice or manuals!

It seems to me that most cooker repairs are either done by the maker's own staff or by cooker shops!
