I've had two insulated consumer units hanging around for a while now and thought I may use one.
Currently I have a cable running from an old switch unit in one barn which then jumps across to another barn. The cable thats been installed (not by me) is only 2.5 maybe 3, would that be safe to connect to the consumer unit, it does say in the instructions to use 50mm² but I could do without replacing drums of cable!
All I have in the barn is two sockets and 5 lights, any suggestions?
