Hi all.

I have been searching all over Ebay and the B&Q website for some adhesive to attach insulation boards (Jablite 3728502025 Insulation Board) to brick walls. But I can't seem to find anything.

Can I just use a general adhesive or is there something more specialist that I'm missing? Do I need to avoid certain types? I'm worried some might eat into the foam stuff they are made from or even just end up falling off the wall!

Advice much appreciated :)

Ask Jablite for advice. Yes, the wrong stuff will disoove the polystyrene. Are you applying this internally or externally? It is possible that it is intended only to be wedged between battens or joists and not glued.

Have you already bought the boards?

Regular board adhesive will adhere to polystyrene. The problems arise when the product is not stored flat or when the manufacturing process has caused a bow in the product. It can be difficult to get flat.

It's for internal. I will be building a frame that it will sit in and then plasterboard over the top. But I didn't think that would be enough to keep it secure and in place to be honest.

Thanks. I will go check some out in B&Q later this week and then cross my fingers that everything is flat!
