Hi all

I was hoping that someone could suggest a root cause for an issue I have been having with my hot water.

As part of investigations into and attempts to solve the problem, a professional firm have replaced the three port valve twice, the timing unit and have serviced the boiler. They say that all appear to be working fine.

The issue presented is that the hot water (set to come on an hour before we use it) gets no more than lukewarm. However, emptying some of the water from the tank (eg by having a lukewarm shower) seems to kick the system into life, and it then heats water to a proper temperature.

Any ideas?

The firm are suggesting they are at a complete loss so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Andy

Before anyone can give useful advice you will need to describe your system and boiler model.

The obvious advice is to get a competent heating engineer as obviously your firm have little understanding of how these things work!
