Is it absolutely necessary to replace missing roof tile?

I have just moved into a 1930's house and there is a missing roof tile at the rear although no sign of water penetration after rain or snow. The missing tile is near the top of the roof and there seems to be a tile overlapping underneath and the roof is also felted and insulated. Therefore do I need to get this fixed (finding someone to do it seems to be tricky as no one wants to do such a small job) right now or can this wait for a few months i.e. Summer and maybe something else needs doing then anyway! Thanks

The underlay will last a certain amount of time but will start to perish due to uv light weather etc.

The wind can also lift the tiles/slates above easier.
