Is there such a thing as and SWA gland expander. i.e. Say I have a 32mm knockout and I want to connect a 25mm gland is an adaptor available to make the thread of the gland bigger to fit the 32mm knockout. If there is presumably the banjo and locking nut will have to be bigger. I have seen plastic expanders but not brass. See my pic of a plastic expander screwed onto a gland.

looking at those reducers it seems that some of them at least are unlikely to grip properly if used with a simple nut in the same way a SWA gland is.

so you might need an adaptor of the type used to join conduit to boxes in addtion to the reducer.

can someone experianced with conduit fittings comment?

They are usually ok when they have a larger back to them, but some do have a very slim ring as a back, as the first in the link does. Use an additional lock nut, and screw this on first before you put the reducer through the hole in the trunking/switch fuse etc.

You can also go gland-reducer-coupler-bush. This has the advantage of saving (sometimes vital) space in the enclosure/trunk etc.
