Is this General Discussion or General Arguments?

I started a thread on this in "Forum Information" and directed a reasonable request at the moderators. I'm still waiting their response.

You'd think the advertisers on the board, those thay pay for it to be in existance (Muslim Brides, Victoria Brides, Chinese Brides etc) would like to see better quality posts associated with their advertisments or else they'll withdraw their support.

I'm officially informed, you only get those if you've been watching porn.
All I get is Microsoft Cloud adverts. Maybe I've been watching the Sky too much. ;)

The odd thing is I get my porn through channels other than google (check out duckduckgo for better search experience), so how does one explain the tracking cookies!! :-p Some of the women on the adverts have cracking racks too.

 The problem is people spend to much time online and their reality becomes rooted in the web instead of real life, I've done it multiple times. It's just an outlet and a form of escape for the mind just like drugs and alchol is, except a less accepted and known of form of it. I also think the demographic here is generally that of the slightly older crowd and older people care more about politics because they depend on the state to keep them alive whereas dependance is a thought that seldom crosses the mind of a younger person due to their immature beliefs about their own infallibile destiny and that somehow 'things will just work out alright' for them.

The longer you spend alive the more you realise that the world is held together by a shoe string and that nobody knows what they are doing or knows what they are talking about and that is terrifying and that is magnified and made worse by sensationalised news stories that are really just fear factory farms that feed of off the fears inherant within us which are ever so more touched on when one is older, we all want to feel safe, we all worry about feeling safe, we all worry about having to worry about feeling safe. On and on it goes, a constant feedback loop.

I went to Europe last week on an adventure holiday, I got there without being stabbed, shot or blown up , I got back as well. I often wonder if they ran a daily count of the people that were not stabbed, shot or blown up every day, just an approximate number, and broadcast itt world wide through every media channel it would help alleviate the heightened sense of fear and claustrophobia people generally get when they spend time fraternising with strangers on the internet about troubling news or consuming that news through media channels.

There was a prog on Radio 4 a while back that said that world wide, approx'10,000 people a year are struck by lightening , cannot remember if that is killed or just struck ??

So may be u are more likely to be stuck / injured or killed by lightening ?? than by some terrorist act ??

It's a general use search engine, give it a go! (Doesn't track you). You have to set it up for uk though, it's quite US-centric otherwise

You're more likely to be stung by a bumble bee than killed by a terrorist

Why are you being racist and singling out bumble bees.
What about other bees and wasps?

You're certainly more likely to be killed on the road.

Don't think that I have ever known or heard of any one that has been stung by a bumble bee ???
