I swear by Dulux Weathershield smooth myself but would never paint brick personally.
Often looks C*** and almost always some areas flake due to moisture, once you have done it there is no going back you have to keep it up, but if you decide to go that route Dulux would be my choice and avoid textured, particularity with white it always looks more dingy than smooth.
