Hello all.
Does anyone know if I can use 100mm Joist Hangers with 150mm or larger joists if they have noggins (in lieu of herringbone struts) to prevent twisting? The span is only 1mtr and there are 3 at 230mm centres (approx). Larger joists are to give clearance for soil pipe passing through area concerned and 100mm hangers are for stairwell clearance below. Larger hangers would be half way up a brick or so. Is there a better way?
Thanks
rcs :)

Hi Masona
The joist hangers are the masonry set type, retrofitting into a 1930's house. Other than the type in the picture, it shouldn't make much difference should it?
