just turned CH back on and now hot water is now warm NOT hot

Help !!!! hot water has been working perfectly all summer and I have just flicked the switch to include central heating as its getting chilly now and the hot water is now not as hot as it was yesterday and before ???

It is a traditional gravity fed (tank in the loft and cylinder in the airing cupboard installation ) sytem btw

any help greatly received
