Hi,
Fitting a shower switch in a lath and plaster ceiling. I have been informed that the switch is not going to be surface mounted, flush mounting is the only option. I am wondering what the best way to do this is considering the constant pull on the switch? Metal or dry-lining box?

Regards.

Thanks, what depth metal box would be suitable for this?

This is where I got stuck. After measuring, I gathered that by using a metal 47mm box to flush mount the switch, the top of the metal box will protrude into the attic space.

I'd assumed that pig89 was a DIYing householder.

Is he a person doing electrical work for money? He is clearly not competent.

This idiot again? You'd think after the advice we gave last time he may at LEAST go somewhere else.

Bet you are both on his block list, just like me!!
