Lath and Plaster shower switch

Hi,
Fitting a shower switch in a lath and plaster ceiling. I have been informed that the switch is not going to be surface mounted, flush mounting is the only option. I am wondering what the best way to do this is considering the constant pull on the switch? Metal or dry-lining box?

This is where I got stuck. After measuring, I gathered that by using a metal 47mm box to flush mount the switch, the top of the metal box will protrude into the attic space.

I'd suggest putting a ply panel between the joists above, fixed to battens, and screw your switch to that.

I'd suggest trying to find whoever the poor victim is of this pig89 and suggest to him that he employs an actual electrician.
