Dear All,
I have a glass block window on the exterior of my building and have noticed that with all the recent wet weather, there is moisture leaking through just above the glass blocks.
I took this short video of the problem with my phone:

About 20 seconds into the video, you can see there is a cavity tray followed by a single layer of brickwork beneath, followed by the glass blocks.
I had planned to hire a cherry picker and rake out then repoint the mortar around that single layer of brickwork. What I'm wondering though is - would applying mortar around these joints cause a problem for the cavity tray? I don't really want the expense, but would I be better off replacing the cavity tray?
Thank you in advance for any insight.
Regards
James.
