Hi there, just bought my first house, and hoping to fix as much of it myself as I can - hopefully I can share some projects on here over the next year (or 20!)

However.. I've just spotted my first problem, a leaking heated towel rail. I've dealt with a few leaking radiator valves before but the towel rail is new to me. You can see in the image where the pipe has rusted from the water leaking, looks like a very small amount of water, but may have been leaking for quite a while. It looks like the water is coming out where the nut on the towel rail meats the pipe.

Maybe I'm being overly cautious - but does this look like I just need to tighten the nut at the bottom?

Thanks!

You can try nipping the nut up, failing that its a drain down and remake the joint with some jointing compound, check the olive is ok whilst it is drained down.
