I'm an absolute DIY novice but I'm hoping you can help me fix this problem without calling out a plumber as money is incredibly tight right now.

If you can see the pic the leak is occurring right where the sink joins the white drainage tube.

Is there a simple way of fixing this?

It will probably be a reasonably easy and cheap fix.

You may get lucky by just tightening the screw or bolt in the centre of the plughole. Don't go too tight though or it will break.

Otherwise, you will need to dismantle it, clean everything up, and reassemble with silicone sealant on either side of the washer. If the old washer is perished you'll need a new one.

Can't believe it was that simple. I didn't even realise there was a screw there.

It's all fixed now, thanks mate you've saved me a lot of bother.
