Hi All,

I'm looking to renovate my shower room and will be building a stud wall to allow for pipework and a shower niche/recess (for shampoos etc.)

I want to add lighting to the shower niche but rather than at the top like I see in most pictures, I want the lighting at the bottom as you can see in this picture

They have used LED lighting and placed a frosted glass panel over it and sealed using silicone.

My questions is really around what LED lighting should be used for shower rooms? I'm fairly new to electrics and won't be doing this part myself but want to purchase the right bits.

Should I be using 12v or 24v LEDs?

What do I need to convert the AC power to DC power as the LEDs I see are all powered via a plug.

Apologies in advance for my ignorance on this topic...
