Firstly I have no intention of doing this myself but need to know if its possible before I order the parts and channel the trunking.

I'm fitting LED strip lights to the top of a room to replace the downlighter (i have limited headroom) the light existing is in a loop, can I wire up the led strips to the current lighting loop?

I have a transformer/driver which is correct for the LED tape as below:

any help appreciated

yes but its a 6ft by 4ft room at the top of a celler, its only 195cm high and im 190cm tall, so its just a small portion of light needed.

Likely to be okay for walkabout lighting not for much else!
It should be fine to fit via transformer/driver to main lighting circuit, but always read the manufacturer's instruction/recommendations.
Note that the trany/driver should be left in an accessible location.
