LG Dishwasher won't drain

Hi, when my dishwasher is washing, it completes the cycle and won't drain. It displays OE error and beaps continuously for several seconds. I have cleaned all of the filters and checked the hose connection under the sink. You and actually hear the pump trying to start up, but with no success. If I empty it manually every cycle, the dishwasher continues. Does anyone know how to get to the water pump so I can check it. The dishwasher is 3 years old and out of warrenty so I am happy to have a go at fixing it. Thanks
