Hi Everyone,

I am about to cross line a chimney breast with fairly thick gauge lining paper.
This may be a silly question but does the first layer have to be completely dry before applying the second. If so, how long is this likely to be. The room I'm in has no heating at the moment and the window open during the day.

Any help would be great

Thanks
Dan

Burglars take note.

Its hard to say...much of this depends on the weather itself...cold, damp air will cause the paper to stay wet longer.

I would give it a couple of days if you dont have any heating in the room before you apply the second paper.
