I'm trying to keep the shower tray as low as possible to the floor level, but every tray I've looked at, the waste hole comes out right over a floor joist. Doesn't matter if the waste hole is in the corner or the centre of one side!!!!

We're using a 1000 x 800 tray and I've looked at all the major online sellers plus City Plumbing and Plumbstop.

If this trap is OK then the floorboard thickness gets me 22mm, another 6mm for the ply subfloor to lay vinyl over gets me to 28mm which leaves about 12mm which I could notch out of the top of the floor joist.
