Hello all

I recently got planning and building regs approval for a garage loft conversion, and the build is about half way completed.

The access to the new room(s) will be from my stairs second landing (gallery type stair case in the house), but my question is exactly how much room do you have to have when at the top of the new stairs in the new building - whether the doors open inwards or outwards?

Cheers.

That's great thank you. The one thing I can't find is what width door minimum I have to have?

I am doing one diy loft currently
I'd stay standard.
762mm or 30" wide as this is off the shelf narrowest the next size up is 838mm or 33"
