Hi all,

I have some door handles that keep coming off some wooden interior doors. There are two screws about 9 and 3 that have worked out of theirs holes. I can push them in but they don't stay. What can I do about this? The holes are effectively too big, so some superglue?

They weren't put in well to begin with as the....latch(?) is stiff and sometimes gets stuck inside the door.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks

Try filling the hole with small pieces of wood, like matchsticks, then screwing into them. It won't be perfect but might help.

asabove but use some pva before inserting the matchsticks.
or maybe you could try and locate some through screw/bolts so they clamp both handles to one another.

Sorry for the tardy response folks. Appreciate the helpful replies.

There is grub screw in to the spindle. Is there a solution? Those sleeve bolts in the link looked to be a winner.....
