It is possible to find people making loose fill insulation and selling cheaply from polyurethane sheet off cuts.

It seems to be a very suitable material for loose fill or filling those hard to access voids.

Does anyone have any comments on using this material?

Polyurethene as stated!

It does sustain a flame if ignited. But the sheets are commonly used for insulation in loft conversions so it must be an acceptable risk or at least in the sheet form.
