I have a combi boiler and one bathroom in the house. The water pressure in the shower has always been very good, but over the past 6-10 months the hot water pressure in the shower has been gradually dropping. Now when we take a shower the pressure is noticeably very low, and it runs cold in the middle of a shower for a few minutes before returning to temperature again. Previously this never happened. Cold water is fine, and hot water in other taps upstairs and down are ok.

It seems the hotter the shower the lower the pressure at the moment.

Ang ideas what is causing this problem?

Thanks

You haven't given any details about your shower so it's hard to be sure, but I'd guess at a blocked inlet filter being the cause

It's likely that the cartridge in the shower needs either replacing or cleaning. Depending on the cost of the replacement cartridge and the original mixer, it may be better to just replace the whole mixer - a fairly good one can be picked up for £80-£100!

What make and model is your mixer?

I have no idea what the make and model is- there is nothing written on it. The only other thing to mention is that it has two shower heads so also has a diverter valve.
