I am fitting a power shower to a combination hot water cylinder that is heated by immersion heater only (no boiler). The hot water pressure is very low. I have fitted a 50 gallon cold water tank in the loft, will a new hot water cylinder that is fed from the cold water tank in the loft fix the problem?

it depends on the height of the cold tank to the height of the hot water tap, shower, etc roughly 1 meter =0.1 bar.

where is your hot cylinder situated at the moment. obviously if you fit a new one it has got to be below the cold

The hot water cylinder is approx 1m above floor level, the new cold water tank is approx 2.5m above the hot water cylinder.

The hot water feed to the shower runs from the hot water outlet from the cylinder, into the loft space, approx 2m horizontally across the loft and approx 200mm down to the shower
