We are going through a house renovation and replacing the old tiles with some slate effect tiles. The builder and roofer have suggested the following two tiles:
Does anyone have any opinions on the above two slates i.e. quality, lifespan, strength etc?. The builder recommending Marley over the Sandtoft as he say the latter is more lighter and finds it less strong and more brittle i.e. more breakages.

- Marley Riven Edgemere - Concrete?
- Sandtoft New Rivius Interlocking Slate - Clay?
