Masonry bolt problem - please help

Hi all

Am bolting a timber gate post to brick wall (side of my house) using 3 masonry bolts.

The top one and middle one seems fine... Post flush against the wall

When I tighten the bottom masonry bolt, the more I tighten it,the more the gate post moves TOWARDS me.

Please help! Why is this bolt not tightening the post against the wall?

Is the hole deep enough

It is like a thunder bolt. The hole is as deep as the other two. I will try and get it a bit deeper hole to ensure.
