I have some Johnstones Matt Emulsion Brilliant White. For internal walls/ceilings.

Would it be okay to use this on walls/ceilings in a kitchen or bathroom? It doesn't mention this on the tin.

Thanks.

Only if you never, ever want to clean the walls in 2 of the most used and dirt-attracting rooms in the house!! Ceilings are ok tho.

Put matt paint in my kitchen and big mistake. Can't wipe the walls, the paint comes off - and it marks even easier being matt :)

Trade Acrylic Eggshell is the ideal paint for kitchens and bathrooms - hard wearing, scrubbable, and in most instances, mould resistant. It's basically a better version of the retail Kitchen/Bathroom paints, which would be your next best choice.
That said, matt emulsion can be used successfully, if there is good quality ventilation, although as blightymam mentions, keeping it clean is a different story!
