    Hi

i'm trying to find a METAL pole that i can put in my garden and attach my washing line to. does anyone have any idea where i can get one from as the plqaces i have tried so far don't sell.

i don't really want a wooden post as the last one rotted from the bottom and snapped hence me looking for a metal one this time

    thanks

    These are widely available.
Saw some in Focus DIY today.
Wilkinsons Stores also sell them, if there is one near you.

Homebase have metal poles in green. They are next to the clothes airer and retractable washing lines. Speaking of which, outdoor retractable lines cost £10, two screws to fix to side of house, then just need a cup hook at a decent distance away (mine's on side of shed). Very nice - you don't have to look at the washing line when it's empty. Not ideal if you you've got seventeen kids though.

If You can, get your hands on an aluminium (scaffold) pole. By the time it rots through, you and even your grandkids will be long gone !!
