Hi,
We have a similar fault to that described elsewhere. Checked inlet and drain hoses, and the sump area. Impeller under the non-return valve looks clean and turns with the expected quarter-turn magnetic lump. Impeller just visible in the slot at the back also turns freely and looks clean.

Machine from switch-on does a drain cycle, I can see the water being pumped out swiftly. Fills, runs rinse cycle, then stops with red drain/inlet warning light on.

Followed error reporting procedure described here: //www.diynot.com/diy/threads/miele-dishwasher-problems-pressure-switch.307814/page-2

and have a 9 O'clock code. What does this signify please, @zipper and others?

Thought I'd write this up, for the benefit of others with similar symptoms. Miele engineer visited. The pressure switch in the base of the machine was tested and found to be working OK. Tide-mark in the switch chamber indicated machine was not filling fully.
A further clue was in the water level in the machine after a fill cycle - it was not reaching the top of the removable filter handle in the base of the wash cabinet.

Inside the electrically-operated cold water inlet valve, there's a yellow filter. Long nosed pliers allow the removal of that filter. Behind that, there's a restrictor with further small holes. These had got very slightly furred up with crud. Cleaned and poked through with a fine needle, reassembled and has worked fine for more than two weeks since.
