Hi chaps, something blew and tripped the fuse last night whilst showering.
Afterwards the shower doesn't get up to the same heat on the normal setting.
It's as if the heater can't get up to the full 8.5KW.
Is there a dual element in these things and therefore one of them could have gone?
edit:
The water pressure is exactly the same by the way, just tepid at the usual setting. If I turn the Knob to get it hotter I just loose pressure... usable but pretty lousy :(
I think it's an 8.5KW.. could be higher.

Thanks for any input

Yes one of the elements has failed.
Check it with a multi meter for resistance.
Should be 10-18 ohms.

What model/kw is the shower ?

Not sure mate, it was quite a few years ago when I fitted it. I'll open it up tomorrow and have a look.
Looks like £50>£60 then for a new heater  Great!

Thanks for your feedback buddy.
