Mirror Lights in Bathroom

I have recently bought a new mirror for my bathroom which has 2 halogen lights built in to the frame. It only has a 6 inch cable coming out of it so I assume I will need to fix it using an Fused Connection Unit via the lighting circuit? Can you please confirm if this is OK and if not how can I connect it to the existing lighting circuit?
