Autism is not genetic and virtually was unknown before the 1980's its onset came when the mmr vacines began the second link refers.

It would seem that Dr Andrew Wakefield was right all along,
The second link explains what happened in japan when mmr was started, stopped and started again guess what happened to incidents of autisim.

He was discredited because of vested interests, now other researchers in different countries are getting the same results.

Other doctors buckled under peer pressure this guy has fought his corner all along now that all the legalities have finished he's free to speak,
scroll down to the video in the first link and listen to the radio interview.

Why would the government refuse parents the right to a single vaccine and force them to have the mmr as the only choice ?

because the nhs isn't going to waste money on giving three jabs when one is perfectly safe and effective, they have far more important things to waste their cash on.

No, he was discredited because he didn't do a proper study, and published articles based on made-up evidence. He achieved fame and made money out of this.

As his lies frightened people into thinking they would be better off catching the disease than being vaccinated, he caused a reduction in immunisation and a growth in disease.

But surely if other research is now backing up his original findings, he's been vindicated. :?: :?:

My sister was born in 1971 and was a perfectly healthy and normal child.
She had the whooping cough vaccination at about 18months old, by the evening she was running an incredibly high temperature and fitting non-stop. Unfortunately the constant fits caused slight brain damage. To look at her you'd think she was totally unaffected, but she now suffers epilepsy and learning disabilities.

My mum will swear blind that the jab caused all the problems and strangely enough her medical records did a wander and were never seen again.

A recent study clams that there is a correlation betoween the age of the father (not mother) at conception and a small % chance of autism

And that published research is??

When a paper is published it is open to review by the authors peer group.

How many came forward supporting his findings??

Alumni, At the time his original research was published, almost no one came forward to support his findings. My point is, Now that further research is backing up his findings, he's slowly but surely being proved correct ? ;) ;)

If a research team could prove that MMR (or any other action) was the cause of Autism they would win Nobel prizes and make a fortune.

Many have carried out research to see if they can find a link. They have all failed.

The anti-vaxxers have whipped up a lot of unsubstantiated fear and anxiety based on lies and misinformation. The newspapers feed on this as it helps sell papers. the Daily Mail has a particularly shameful history.

Here are a few links.

I had all mine vaccinated. If i'd thought for a second that it would have damaged them, then i would have paid for 3 separate vaccinations.

Your walking out on them damaged them.

As I've said before, more people were frightened by Blair's refusal to say whether his son had the jab than anything else!

Blair was the main cause of the resulting panic!

We took advice from several places (including abroad) and came to the conclusion it was ok to give our kids the MMR jab...

BUT (based on some of the advice) we decided to leave it until they were just under 5 years old and about to go to school, in order to let their immune systems to develop further...
