My son was born at home, not planned, and eventhough it was the most stressfull time of my life it was one of the best memories of my life. I delivered him on the sofa, all went well but it was a spaced out experience.

Took 1 hour 45 mins for the emergancy services to arrive, 2 hour for the mid wife!! We are in a remote area, but not that remote!!

He came into the world with his family around him, two adult daughters were there also.

    Proud dad!

6'2"!!! I'm willing to concede that may have been a little more eye watering for your partner than the normal pea shelling effort required.

And that's how I wound up with the Black Eye doctor! ;)

Enjoy it Peaps! Make the most, it's a miracle, nothing comes close. You are very fortunate. Make it count, you can do something amazing.

Go into fatherhood 100%, my Dad is and was an amazing man/rolemodel, I hope in time your child thinks the same... I'm sure they will.

Congratulations on the new arrival and I trust that mother and baby are still doing fine.
