i have a 1921 end terrace house brick built with no cavity between the inner and outer brick wall. The roof is a standard red tile and extends about 2ft beyond the exterior wall. A visual inspection using binoculars suggests the roof is ok. The soffits etc were up-dated to upvc a couple of years ago

The problem is that we just moved a wardrobe from the corner of the bedroom (the corner that backs to two outside walls) to redecorate, and discovered black mould running up the corner from about 18" off the floor to the ceiling. The wallpaper either side of the corner has come away from the wall too

Do I have a major problem or is it more likely to be a condensation problem due to lack of air circulation behind the wardrobe? Whatever it may be, what are the solutions?

Thank you in advance

Condensation, solved by reducing the humidity level inside the building or increasing the surface temperature of the affected area of wall.
